Part II – Oral Exam

Format: Live oral assessment designed to complement the written exam, focusing on clinical reasoning and safe decision-making.
Location: University of Music and Perfoming Arts – MDW | Anton von Webern Platz 1, 1030 Vienna, Austria
Date: upcoming Part II Exam: Saturday, November 7, 2026
Eligibility: Only candidates who have passed Part I within the past 5 years are eligible to register.
Fee: EUR 800 (divided into two payments)

  • Payment 1 – EUR 600: Required to confirm participation in the exam
  • Payment 2 – EUR 200: Due after successful completion of the oral exam (for issuing the certificate and diploma)

Registration Limit: Limited to 180 candidates on a first-come, first-served basis. Once the limit is reached, registration will close.

Exam Structure

  • Before the examination begins, candidates have 40 minutes to prepare before entering the examination rooms.
  • The oral examination lasts 90 minutes.
  • Throughout the examination, staff accompany candidates to and from the examination rooms.
  • Candidates must attend all three parts of the examination.
  • In each examination room, candidates answer four questions and have 6 minutes for each question.
  • After 25 minutes, candidates move to the next examination room.
  • Once candidates complete all three parts, staff accompany them to the waiting room.
  • Immediately after the oral examination, successful candidates receive their official certificate and diploma after paying the second examination fee (EUR 200)

A list of successful candidates (name and country only) will be published on the website.

Exam Policy

  • Candidates must present a valid photo ID for identity verification.
  • During the examination, candidates are not allowed to take electronic devices, notes, or any other unauthorized materials into the examination rooms.
  • Furthermore, candidates must not record, copy, or distribute any examination content. Failure to comply with this rule may result in immediate disqualification.
  • Candidates should arrive at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time. Otherwise, admission to the examination cannot be guaranteed.
  • Candidates must hand in their mobile phones during registration. Staff place each phone in a sealed envelope labelled with the candidate’s number and return the envelope at the end of the examination.
